congatec AG appoints Axel Petrak to Executive Board

Deggendorf, Germany, March 30th, 2010 * * *   congatec AG announces the appointment of Axel Petrak to the Executive Board where he will be representing Sales and Marketing with immediate effect. Petrak has served as Manager Sales & Business Development for congatec since September 2009 while simultaneously acting as Director EMEA for the LINUX Foundation. He has 25 years of international sales and marketing experience and most recently held various senior management positions at Intel Deutschland GmbH.

In his new role as a member of the Board Petrak will drive the expansion of congatec's international direct sales activities with the opening of new sales and marketing offices in Europe, Asia and the US planned for later this year. In addition, he will focus on consistently expanding congatec's growing partner network in order to be able to offer clients customized solutions for the widest range of applications.

"During recent months I have seen convincing evidence of the fact that there is considerable growth potential for congatec in a variety of markets. It is now necessary to transfer congatec's technical know-how into those markets in order to best realize this potential.
